A little morning on the beach with "D", "T", "W" and "O"....

Headed out to Folly this morning to meet up with my neighbors and some of their friends in from Ohio.  I send a text that I was on my way....and got a response saying something along the lines of "meltdown".....Well, if there was any sign of a meltdown, they snapped out of it pretty quickly.....and we ended up having a good time on the beach.
(By the way, every parent thinks their shoot is the only shoot that I've ever had where someone sheds a tear....)
Thanks for having me out to play....I enjoyed myself!!

Bribe of choice...in hand.

Sure...sure...come on by...I'm just rinsing off my feet....

Almost passed over this one due to some squinty eyes, etc.......but I think "O" saw something that needed taking care of....I'm just sayin'

Little brother....winding up....and SLINGING it on big bro!

Year Number 4....with Some of my Favorites!

I have been lucky enough to get a play date with these cool cats every June for the last 4 years.  As I mentioned last year, I always come away with one of my favorite shots of all time.  This year....Mr. "C" has gotten a little older and able to play a little harder.  "E" and "D" are still crazy about him....but he can defend himself from the overzealous affection.....and this time, with a sword and a MASK!  Love it.

"Hey there, remember me?"  "Mmmm, vaguely....I think we used to complete a sentence back before these crazy little people joined our lives..."

I do love what all is going on in this one....a little finger-sucking, Mom trying to control a mask and sword wielding 3-year old, one picture-perfect smile and one admiring Papa.

Take a little peek at last year's shoot 3

"E", "M" and "R" for a COOL morning!

In this heat....I'm always pleasantly surprised when I have a shoot that turns out to be not too hot.  Friday morning proved to be perfect just after our summer storm Thursday night.

I met little miss "R" when I shot some preschool pix earlier in the year.  I'm so glad Mama called to get me to shoot the rest of the family......I am DIGGING the freckles and red hair.

Here is your sneak peek.....thanks for playing with me.

Quick Little Vacation to Amelia Island....

Summertime is full on and the ability to be a little spontaneous is nice.  I packed the children up to peel away to Florida for a couple of days to see my parents.  One of my sisters was down there with her family so it was two full days of beach, umbrellas, ocean and cousin fun.  My dad AND my step-mother are great cooks so each day started and ended with a fabulous meal.  Quite frankly, I left my camera packed up seeing how sand ain't the best ingredient to mix it with....so I didn't come back much.

Can any of my siblings tell who this little turkey is imitating?

Kiawah and little BAA.....

An early morning playdate with "B", "A" and "A" out at beautiful Kiawah Island.  Mama had contacted me a while back and said they were going to be on vacation in June.  Luckily for me....we were able to meet up and have a little play time in the shade at a really cool playground.  "A" introduced me to her little "Doggie" who had recently lost an ear or tail (can't remember!) and "A" showed me his dinosaur that he came upon in the sand.....and "B" immediately told me he had once had a preschool teacher with my same last name.  Cool!

Maybe not the perfect Christmas card picture.....but fun and crazy and I like it.

We needed a little snack...
