BOYS with a capital...Wet Willy

Sweet Laura called me to shoot these boys as a surprise for her friend. She said they were happiest playing ball, fishing, etc. Good old fashioned boys. Well...she wasn't kidding....I had the best time with these guys - and in a span of about 30-40 minutes, they climbed trees...fed fish....threw rocks...had a leaf fight....threw the football....tackled each other....kicked the soccer ball....gave each other wet willy's....wrestled....

I love it when I get to capture children being children.

Swings, Slides and Flower pickin'

I went on a little play date this morning with S and K at the Mount Pleasant playground (can't remember what it's really called.) I love it there because it's so spacious and beautiful. S is wide open and ready to roll.....and K never loses his smile. Neither do, for that matter. We had fun swinging, sliding, chasing the ball, picking flowers and splashing hands in the water fountain. Hopefully, everyone conked out for you mom....so you could get a little work done. Here is your sneak peek......the others will be up soon.

St. Philip's Preschool Pictures

Good Lord is all I have to say......I saw more cheeks I could pour gravy and chew on this past week taking the school pictures for St. Philip's Church preschool. Too dang cute. I think everyone ranges from itty bitty to about 3, maybe 4 years old......and those teachers have their hands full of sweetness. One class has TWO sets of twins! I'll be back over there next week to fill in those who were out sick. Had fun playing on the playground with all these guys. I'm still editing....so more will go up tomorrow.

KUDOS to My Sweet Husband

My husband has been working his tail off lately and what a blessing! The phone has been buzzing out of the wall thanks to some really great attention lately. Southern Living listed him as one of the top 5 things to do while in Charleston.....check this out - COOL! (The fall sky is just too pretty not to post.)

Is there anything better than Halloween??

I'm a huge fan of Halloween.....it's my brother's birthday so we always had lots of festivities going on around the house.....it marks the beginning of fall and the holiday season.....pull out jeans and a sweater....I love it. This past weekend we made Halloween decorations.....fun to see what glitter and glue can get you. LOVE the skeleton with bling.

Oh, and the little green guy - yeah, he surfaced while I was cleaning up the kitchen this morning....you know, running the disposal and rrggh rrgghhh clkk clkkk rrghhh. So I stuck my hand down and up came....ALIEN MAN....Happy Halloween!

Senior.....with hopefully not-so-senior shots

We all have them.....those horrible senior pictures where in, at least for mine, I put on a velvet v-neck dickie, cocked my head to the side and looked up at the corner as instructed. And, all I have from that photo shoot is a 3x5 print with the word "PROOF" stamped over it. Heinous. Or then there is the one with the bright pink rays behind me as I swung my legs over a chair arm sitting sideways for the "casual" shot.

Well, W's mom called because apparently, 20 years later - they're still making you put one knuckle under your chin and tilt ~*POP*~ ......your senior pictures. I met up with Connie and her son trying to catch some shots that weren't so cheesy. What I love about W is you can tell he still really enjoys his mom and isn't afraid to show it.

I was a little worried on how to get a laugh out of an 18-year old.....but apparently all you have to do is talk about an old co-worker that likes to trim her tree...in the buff. That'll break the ice. Oh, and I think that dog is smiling for me.

Mister B

This sweet child is the baby of some dear friends.....and he is getting baptized this weekend. I don't see him nearly enough - but I sure enjoyed my time with him yesterday. It was as if he knew what we were trying to accomplish. He could not have been in a better mood ..... With a century-old family gown and lots of family coming into town....this weekend will be super special. Love to you all.

As an unrelated side note - I had my debit card number stolen today and whoever the lucky recipient was went on a rampage in no time. In a matter of hours....$430 worth of nokia phone, match.com, date.com, etc. racked up. There was also a florist purchase....girl saw it early in the day and thought hubby had sent me some flowers - HA! At any rate, had I not checked my account online (which I do on a regular basis) I would not have caught it.....so check yo account.

Sweet Baby M

As I've said before, one of my favorite ways to "give back" is to take pictures for families at the MUSC Children's Hospital. I don't normally post those pictures as they are private and not my place to do so......but I post these pictures with the family's permission because they would like everyone to join the fight and pray for little M. She's struggling her way into this world.....and they have an entire "Team M" behind her wearing purple and green ribbons all the way.

An extra prayer would go a long way for this faithful family. I could see and feel the love and support they have for each other and I left the hospital feeling peace for this young couple. No matter what God's plan is, everyone is going to be alright.

Opposites....

I know R and C from church and am friends with their super cool parents. Mom wanted to try and get a portrait shot for the grandfather to paint.....so we did a few in "church" clothes....but then it was time to play.

Tutu's went on and we got to playing....and R has curly brown hair, brown eyes and was striking poses left and right. C has blonde straight hair, blue eyes and could not have been more pensive and serious. It's fun to get a little bit of everything!
