Mazal Tov!

Sadie and Josh (John, Jason, James...?) were married Sunday night....one of the coldest nights of the year so far!  I have photographed Sadie and her siblings a couple of times before....and then, of course, her bridal portrait - so I knew I was in for a good time.  These 4 siblings genuinely enjoy each other's company and love to laugh.
I met Josh once before the wedding - and I immediately told Sadie's mom, "What a nice guy."  Josh stopped me at least twice during one of the biggest and busiest nights of his life to say, "Thank you."  Simple gesture - but how thoughtful.

So while Sadie was having her hair and make-up done (not a fan of hairspray!)...mom slipped her a little something she's been keeping since her wedding...

The pictures will do a lot of the talking....but they wanted a laid back, fun night - and I think based on their shoe choice....they got it!

Check out the flowers...palmetto roses!

I won't embarrass myself by trying to act as if I am super familiar with what takes place at a jewish wedding.  I was, however, intrigued by the rituals and traditions that took place.  After the groom processes down the aisle with his parents and the bride follows suit with hers.....the bride, bride's mother and the groom's mother circle the groom 7 times.

The ceremony was beautiful and a GREAT time was had by all afterwards!

He kept his eye on the lemonade all night....

First dance with husband.....and then grandfather.....

To give you a little history to set up the pictures below......back when the bride's parents were married, tablecloths were tied together and they jumped rope......let's just say.....the tradition lives on......

BRIDE AND GROOM

BRIDE'S BROTHERS with dad at the handle....Check out the placement of brother-mullet's legs and rope....yikes.

MOTHER still has it...

BRIDE with all three siblings....impressive

Hostess with the mostess!

A little more craziness, some ice cream and fun.....

...before the new bride and groom pedaled away on a bicycle built for two.....!

Thanks, again, for including me.  I had a blast and will let you know when I am done editing.....and the rest go up.  Happy travels to your new home!

Sadie's Bridal Portraits!!

So.....finally I get to post the bridal portrait pictures I did a few weeks ago - Sadie and Josh got married TONIGHT and I'll post more about that tomorrow......but, in the meantime....I get to unlock her bridal portrait gallery (Fox Bridal Portrait) and show you just how beautiful a bride she is AND we had a little fun too!

The story on the shoes...she wore them tonight because she's worn them at every important event during and since high school.  Her brother bought them for her and she didn't even consider another shoe for tonight!

Good News....!

I got a call yesterday from someone I had worked with back in October.  It was regarding Sandra Day O'Connor's visit to South Carolina promoting her OurCourts.org program.  She wanted to know if they had permission to use some photos I had taken of her interacting with children for an upcoming event for Mrs. O'Connor.  "Sure, no problem."

She, along with Miss Oprah Winfrey, will be honored this fall as being winners of the 2010 Maria Shriver Minerva Award.  Did I say, "Sure, no problem"?  I'm sorry.....What I meant to say is...."Hot diggity" no, wait... "Wooohooo!!" - "Yipppeeee" - "HOW COOL IS THAT?" ......"What's that, you've got tickets for me and all my friends?" "Yes ma'am - OF COURSE you can."  Not sure what will be used or exactly what for...but pretty cool none the less.

St. Philip's Vacation Bible School!!

It marks the beginning of our summer every year.  It's one of the most wholesome, energetic and fun weeks of the year for my children.

Filled with enthusiasm, songs, games, skits - it's fantastic.  One highlight every year is the tradition of digging out the "old school" VBS shirts so they can go to the treasure box for "kickin' it old school" (Riley!)

It's one of the few places I know where I can find 3-year olds....all the way up to 7th graders....singing songs and laughing together.  Kudos to David, Angela, Lee, Jessica, the McGreevy's....for keeping the enthusiasm up and the interest high.

So many more of these fun pics up on my site....

See you next year.....

Woke up to a couple of emails today from friends saying they had gone to AOL.com and an article about Darius Rucker was featured running some family pictures that I had taken. Check it out here....Pretty COOL!
