Beautiful Bride.....

Sometimes things are out of our control.  Schedules switcheroo, things get cancelled and changes have to be made.  But what I have noticed and hopefully learned is....it all works out....and many times for the better!  Through the years, I have had several "reschedulings" of shoots......and I can't think of one time that we wished for the original plan.

This sweet bride was flying in from New York - her original flight got cancelled....which sent the whole airport, hair, dress, pictures, process a floppin.  Thanks to the different time....which led to a different hair dresser...which led to a different location to dress....which led to this BEAUTIFUL location.  It was perfect.  What do you think?

Mama's dress, cut down to strapless to make it her own.....with a custom-made bolero to match the lace on the original dress.  Lovely.

LOTS of Family out at the Sanctuary.....

I am a little ashamed and embarrassed after meeting this great big family....follow me for a second and you'll see why.  They live all over the country from New Jersey to California......I can't even remember how many there were in total......but it was a bunch!  There were some on the golf course and not even involved in this shoot!  They get together AT LEAST one vacation a year.....sometimes twice.  Clearly not in their backyard either.

I'm the baby of eight children......before you choke on your inhale of "what!?"......4 are step-siblings.  But we grew up together before we all became the Brady Bunch so I think we were closer than the average family at the time of the merger.  We get together once a year.....for about 4-6 hours on Thanksgiving day....  These guys make the effort...and kudos to them.  That's the way it should be.

I enjoyed all of you that I did get to meet - I hope the rest of your time here was enjoyable.  Here's a little sneak peek of our time together.

Blast from the Past.....out at Wild Dunes

I got a call from this cute little Mama about doing a shoot while they were in town.  I met them out at Wild Dunes and immediately thought she looked familiar.

The shoot was just about done......and we made a random connection that she used to work in the hair salon where I got my hair cut when my husband and I got married.  Whooh - 17 years ago!

Her children.....could not be any sweeter.  Big brother "J" is soooo loving and caring towards his baby sister.  Any affection shown in these pictures is For REAL.  They adore each other.  Oh, did I mention their eyes?  Please.

I enjoyed my morning with you guys - here's a sneak peek......I'll let you know when the rest go up!

A Morning out at Seabrook!

This sweet family is hanging out at Seabrook on vacation.  Mama got my name from a mutual friend of ours....  I forget how calm and peaceful the beach is out there.  I could actually see the cabin on the beach where my son stayed for summer camp at Camp St. Christopher.  Fabulous.

We did a little skipping, sea shell hunting, water splashing and splinter gettin'.  I enjoyed my morning out with you - here's your sneak peek!

40th Wedding Anniversary Surprise!

The youngest daughter of this crew contacted me saying the siblings wanted to surprise their parents with a photo shoot.  They were all gathering to celebrate their 40th anniversary.  One was coming from London, another from Texas and North Carolina.....

We got together Sunday afternoon - the weather looked iffy.....but turned out to be perfect.  Despite a little ~warmth~, everything worked out great.  The second I got in my car after the shoot, a rain drop.  So there, it was meant to be.

Enjoyed meeting all of you - here is your sneak peek...I'll let you know when the rest go up!

Elmo seems to be part of the family....for a little while at least.  That is...until a storm trooper takes over....

...And this is what goes on behind me when we're trying to get a 5 1/2-month old and an 18-month old to look your way!
