Mazel Tov!!

Saturday I had the pleasure of documenting a very special day for B - it was his Bar Mitzvah and the ceremony took place at the beautiful and historic Beth Elohim Temple on Hasell Street.  I immediately noticed what a nice young man he was and knew I was wearing him out getting the obligatory family photos.  He never mumbled a complaint....not one.

I met back up with them later at the Peninsula Grille for a GREAT party with lots of family and friends.  And what I noticed then is....what a really well-mannered,confident, humble and cool kid he is....not afraid to be affectionate to his younger sisters or parents and so grateful for the day's festivities.  I loved the slide show and congratulations on your big day, B!!

Nice Shades Sista....

So I'm outside the other day while shooting an event and this guy is stopped at the red light and I look over .... only to see this in his passenger seat.  Seriously?  She looked at me....tilted her head....and posed for me....

12 weeks old.....little Super Hero

I went out to see Allie, Mike and baby L this morning.  Baby L was a little behind on his schedule when I got there and I was about to screw it up even more big time.  He had been up since 5am and was ready for some shut...eye when I got there.  Well, we took him here and there and in and out of clothes and he pulled through like a champ....TOO HANDSOME.

Louis Vuitton, Town and Country, MUSC Children's Hospital

Last week, Louis Vuitton and Town and Country Magazine paired up to benefit the MUSC Children's Hospital.  A beautiful store, yummy food prepared by Mike Lata of FIG Restaurant, lots of good wine and fun people turned into a great night of shopping at the Charleston LV store.  A percentage of the proceeds was donated to the Children's Hospital and I think the night was a big success seeing how I saw several big ole shopping bags leaving the store.

Ssshhhhh......another surprise

If you know this family.....keep it quiet until after Father's Day.......

This sweet family goes to our church and I've watched these guys grow up.  Their mama is one of the most generous, patient and pleasant people I know.  While I was shooting, their personalities reminded me a lot of my own children....Serious older one, Girly girl who can handle her own and Mr. Carefree bringing up the back.

If you look carefully, and I mean really close.....I almost got a smile out of P.

I mean REALLY! Too dang cute...

This is yet another surprise for a Daddy....so if you know this family....keep it hush until after Sunday.

I shot this cute little family last year when the little guy was a newborn.  Out of that shoot came one of my favorite prints of all time.  The two sisters just ooing over their new little brother.  Well, now they both call him "Chubby Cheeks" and they still can't get enough of him.

Little Miss D loves to swing.....and I think I got about 4 shots of her that surpass my favorite print of last year.  We should all love swinging that much!

Vacation Bible School to kick start the Summer

This past week was the first week that my older children were out of school.  What better way to kick start their summer than a good ole Vacation Bible School.  We go to St. Philip's Church and this is by far one of the highlights of the year.  Our church does a great job keeping the children, young and old, interested and involved year round.

Every year I take pictures for this week and it is incredible how much "happiness" I can shoot between 9-12 everyday.  Cheese puffs, water balloons, skits, sharks and minnows, singing, crafts....you name it and everyone loves it.  A great big THANK YOU to Lee and Angela who pull it off year after year.  Also, kudos to Sarah for continuing to make the 5th and 6th graders anxious to get up and get to VBS.  Incredible that you can motivate this age group to come home and be helpful, memorize bible verses and participate daily......notice pool pictures....donuts....fire crackers....she gets it....Thanks.

Surf's Up!!

This is another surprise for a Daddy......

I have to say that this is one of my favorite shoots so far.....getting out in the ocean up to my knees careful to get as far out as I could without risking my camera.  Little J here starts his summer days by getting up and surfing out at Folly Beach.  I must say I was totally impressed!

A little later his baby J showed up.....and all I can say is I could pour a little gravy over him and eat him for dinner.  This sweet guy just stares at his big brother....you can just tell he cannot wait to be able to run with the big boys.

Mom, this is a sneak peak.....I'm working on your pictures now so they should be up soon!!
