15-Month Check In!

Baby L and I branched out a little at our last little date.  He's nice enough to have me out to play every 3 months.....and we usually have a play date at his house.  But this time, we got to do something special.  We played at the park under the bridge in Mount Pleasant.

(it's all about that sweet profile....)

He was a little attached to Mama in the beginning.....but he warmed up and we had some fun.

Please....can you take it?

I love that he couldn't resist the finger in the holes....

"And over this way we have the Ravenel Bridge built in 2006 or so...."  I get it, buddy, I live with a tour guide.

That sweet curl in the back....I could have pinched the back of his neck off.  Dang.

Until September my little friend......

Happy Father's Day!

My sweet husband was awakened this morning by this little meal prepared by his thoughtful, 9-year old loving daughter.  I knew nothing about it.....I'm not sure but I think we've got a little chef on our hands.  LOVE the cookie sheet as a tray.
 Happy Father's Day T!

Hazel Parker with little Miss C

This sweet little family got a gift certificate for a session with me as a baby gift.  They decided to wait until she was 6 months old to redeem......and, after seeing that little smile, I think they made the right decision.   They are moving to North Carolina in about 6 days and wanted to capture a little of the city where baby C was born.  She was napping when they showed up and, unlike any of mine, was happy as can be when awakened out of her snooze.  We got down to business and she did great!  Here's your sneak peek - sorry it's going up so late....I had a date with my children at the movies tonight.  I'll let you know when the others go up!

Look at those luscious lips....

Oh how interesting.....a little clover....

Check out that flexibility....can you imagine being able to do that?

This sweet little dress is special.....it was her Mama's!

Sweet Baby M

I went back up to MUSC Children's Hospital to check up on Sweet Baby M.  You may remember her from a couple of earlier posts....  She invited me up to check out her new skirt and her pink, sparkly, pedicure!

I don't normally post my MUSC families.....but Mama and Grandmama gave me permission yesterday so we could ask if you could please keep this little peanut in your prayers....it would provide her family great comfort.

Hello Again!

I've seen these guys for three years in a row now.....every time around Father's Day.  Inevitably, I get one of my favorite shots out of their shoot.  I LOVE getting to see them grow from year to year.  The girls have always called the little guy "Chubby Cheeks"....and that little name still sticks and the affection is just as strong as when he was a newborn.  E cannot get enough of him.  D, on the other hand, can't get enough lipstick.

I can usually come away from a shoot with a pretty good idea of who is the outgoing, prissy, conservative, talkative, silly, academic, rambunctious, carefree, jock....etc.  I think you can figure out the prissy one without even meeting her.

I swear....do all boys do this?  I've got one that runs around my house in one sock all the time!  Diggin' the tretorns C!

Delicious toes !!

Happy Father's Day Dave.... and A, thanks for asking me to play again.  I look forward to next year!!

Mazal Tov!

Sadie and Josh (John, Jason, James...?) were married Sunday night....one of the coldest nights of the year so far!  I have photographed Sadie and her siblings a couple of times before....and then, of course, her bridal portrait - so I knew I was in for a good time.  These 4 siblings genuinely enjoy each other's company and love to laugh.
I met Josh once before the wedding - and I immediately told Sadie's mom, "What a nice guy."  Josh stopped me at least twice during one of the biggest and busiest nights of his life to say, "Thank you."  Simple gesture - but how thoughtful.

So while Sadie was having her hair and make-up done (not a fan of hairspray!)...mom slipped her a little something she's been keeping since her wedding...

The pictures will do a lot of the talking....but they wanted a laid back, fun night - and I think based on their shoe choice....they got it!

Check out the flowers...palmetto roses!

I won't embarrass myself by trying to act as if I am super familiar with what takes place at a jewish wedding.  I was, however, intrigued by the rituals and traditions that took place.  After the groom processes down the aisle with his parents and the bride follows suit with hers.....the bride, bride's mother and the groom's mother circle the groom 7 times.

The ceremony was beautiful and a GREAT time was had by all afterwards!

He kept his eye on the lemonade all night....

First dance with husband.....and then grandfather.....

To give you a little history to set up the pictures below......back when the bride's parents were married, tablecloths were tied together and they jumped rope......let's just say.....the tradition lives on......

BRIDE AND GROOM

BRIDE'S BROTHERS with dad at the handle....Check out the placement of brother-mullet's legs and rope....yikes.

MOTHER still has it...

BRIDE with all three siblings....impressive

Hostess with the mostess!

A little more craziness, some ice cream and fun.....

...before the new bride and groom pedaled away on a bicycle built for two.....!

Thanks, again, for including me.  I had a blast and will let you know when I am done editing.....and the rest go up.  Happy travels to your new home!
