Lightening is Lucky....Right?

Sarah and John tied the knot late this afternoon.......beautiful location.  The skies were a little gray early on......but I, for one, was excited.  The temperature dropped.....the green from the marsh stood out.....the bridge was highlighted in the background.  Beautiful.  It looked a little something like this:

Check out the beautiful cross sewn to her bouquet......it was her mother's.  As is the beautiful wrap she wore for the ceremony.

Sarah was getting ready upstairs......when she caught a peek at her husband-to-be out the window....."Ooooh, I LOVE John!" she giggled....

I love Daddy's big ole grin in the background......

The ceremony was down at the dock and the scenery could not have been more beautiful.......the wind started picking up.....drops started dripping...and then it turned a little crazy.  The sky opened up and the bottom dropped out!  We squished under cover and got the deal done.  I think I owe the minister an apology.....I was clicking about 3 inches from his ear as I hovered over him standing on the dock bench.

On the way back in towards the house.....two by two everyone ran under umbrellas.....the bride's brother and the groom's brother-in-law got a little ~zing~ when a HUGE clap of lightening/thunder caught us all by surprise on the run in......  You know what I think?  Sarah's mother attended from above tonight....and I think she was raising her glass of heavenly champagne to toast to the new Mr. and Mrs.

Have a ball in wine country......
